Embrace Fall in Port Imperial

After spending September savoring the last drops of summer, we’re officially ready to start diving into pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters, and fireside chats along the waterfront. Read on to see our list of fall must-haves in Weehawken, NJ and beyond.

But first, coffee
If there’s one symbolic beverage associated with fall across the globe, it’s a pumpkin spice latte. For some, this cinnamon dusted fall classic goes a long way to brighten your long work day – but it’s not for everyone. Across the east side of the Hudson, coffee shops have crafted a variety of fall flavored coffee creations to appeal to everyone.

Around the corner, Steven’s Cafe serves a pumpkin spiced latte hot or on the rocks. Down by the ferry, Cafe Grumpy can turn your frown upside down with their maple spiced lattes and apple cider. In Hoboken, you can keep it simple with City of Saints Coffee Roastery full bodied pumpkin pie latte or opt for their post-work coffee toddy. Finally, if you’re committed to keeping the spirit of summer alive, Hidden Grounds makes a fantastic pumpkin spice latte infused with lavender.

Brrr it’s cold out here
Even with a hot coffee in hand, walks along the breezy waterfront tend to get chilly in the evenings. Luckily, local boutique clothing stores have the essentials you need to keep you warm for the season.

Start with adding an extra layer to your quarter zip sweater with a vibrant dress shirt from Kurt River. For a more laid back look, Oran Apparel has all the fall staples from warm cotton henleys to cozy hoodies. If you already have everything you need, but are looking to add one final touch to your look, visit Alba Boutique for their colorful leather jackets and long trench coats. Complete your outfit with a pair of leather boots and you’ll look dinner ready in no time.

A cozy atmosphere
This time of year is perfect for catching up with friends around a bonfire. Across our community, we have plenty of spaces to keep you and your friends busy during the fall. Whether you’re cuddled by the fire pits on the rooftop or playing games in the resident clubroom, you will find nothing short of entertainment from the comforts of home.

Looking for an outdoor activity? Invite your guests over for a night roasting smores by the fire pits. Paired with a hot toddy, this is the perfect location to hangout with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline behind you. Make your night a little interesting by playing a game of pool – winner gets the last smore in the bag! On our rooftop we have both an indoor and outdoor pool table set for the nights it’s too cold to be outside. As an added bonus, our indoor fireplaces will certainly set the scene for a cozy night in.
